Look at it this way, if this person is really coming from "money " and hasn't really had to work for it at all or had as many concerns as a normal person would, then their views are wholly convoluted. It's the parents fault for spoiling them and now they grew up to be the way they are. Just know it isn't your job or responsibility to try to get them to see the light, it probably wouldn't work anyway. Not to say that all poor people aren't lazy, there are some who just live off of the fat of the land, but there are many, many, many others who simply need help to get them and their families by. People who have jobs and responsibilities know the value of a dollar more or less and try to do the right thing with their earnings. Others splurge cause they have someone else paying the bills. In the end, while these sorts of people, those who have money and don't have the worries we all do, they will get their come-uppance eventually, even though it doesn't seem fair now. Spoiled people anger me too, a great deal actually, but I choose to ignore them, or at least try to when I can. They have their views so dead-panned that trying to persuade them to see the entire view is just you wasting your breathe on them. Try not to let them get to you. |
