I don't think so, cause you're gonna pay it back. but if you tithe from your gross income, i don't think you'd tithe from your tax refund either. |

Tithing should be done voluntarily. People who want to tithe, do so on all income. Loans are not income. |

Unless you are an Orthodox Jew, tithing is out, period. The system in the Church Age, which we Christians have been in for the last 2000 years or so, is GIVING. Giving is spiritual. Tithing was a system of taxation to support the tribe of Levi, which is no longer functioning. So pay your taxes and give as the Spirit directs. |

No. Tithe with your money, in hand, net, that you have earned. I came real close to saying something rude because this should be common sense. Plus tithe only where you are fed. Fed the Word of God. Tithe nothing if you are not fed. Offerings are totally up to your discretion. |

I agree with "DOCTRINE365 "'s answer... People should offer whatever they feel led to give by the Holy Spirit. There are no "rules " on what a person should give. Personally, I think the whole "tithe " thing is repulsive (when Church leadership is pushing individuals into the practice). Tithing was an OT practice (living in a theocracy), and is not comparable at all to our times/ culture. If an individual chooses to tithe, that is great. But it should NEVER be done for reasons of compulsion. I was in a legalistic tithing Church, and it really destroyed me (this was many years ago when I was new to the faith). I neglected needs of self and family in order to "reach my tithe ". As I grew in faith and knowledge I realized how foolish I had been. "2 Cor 8:12 " was a huge wake up call to my legalistic tithing... 2 Corinthians 9:7 "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. " 2 Corinthians 8:12 "For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have. " |

NO! It is a voluntary thing, not a requirement. And in your case wrong to give away usury money. Scripturaly the donations given to the Apostles went for their direct needs. Preachers haven't been truthful and have preyed on people just as animals in the wild. |

Dear Child of God, Tithing is an act of faith...it is saying here God I trust that you will take care of me and all I need. God is not broke and he does not need your money. It is a way to honor him, when you get a paycheck you should not wait until you have paid all your bills and give to him what is left. You should give the ten percent happily and joyfully, saying Oh God You have always been there for me, I trusted you before and I trust you now. It shows great faith and it honors God deeply. By waiting to see what you might have left to give after you pay your bills it is like saying God I have to take care of me, It is up to me not you, so if I have something left then I will give. Tithing is Faith! As far as an equity loan I think that it may be such the same as a pay check. Here God I give and I know you will meet all our needs as you always have. Praise God and I hope this helps. God Bless |

Yes of course, why not?! equity loans may be a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on these, a good place to start in my humble opinion is: umgarticles.atspace.com/ equity-loan.htm a couple of years ago I took an equity loan, however I made some errors, luckily for you they are all tackled in this article. good luck |
