My fellow christians, what would be your first choice for your child's education?

Question: My fellow christians, what would be your first choice for your child's education?

Private Public or home schooled and why? also explain why you wouldn't choose the other options. I'm not a mother yet but if private is best then I need to start saving tuition money and if home is best I need to be sure I make time

That pretty much depends on the quality of education available in your community. We mostly chose public schools because they were the best alternative and because we were poor. However, when we lived in large cities, private (Catholic) schools offered better education as well as financial assistance. Home schooling would be our last choice. Of course, some parents have the education and skills to teach their children at home. In most cases, however, home schooling is little better than truancy. Parents don't have the schools, tenacity, or discipline to get the job done. Cheers, Bruce

Teaching them the great and powerful Abrahamic covenants that gives us all things concerning life and Godliness.Everything else pales in comparison.

Public. Private school equals less exposure to real world people and home schooling is just weird. In all seriousness, unless my child had a disability or something that would cause social problems, he/ she will be canning right into a public classroom.

Its best to be in home schooled because it the environment(people) that will effect your child and you can give your wisdom to your child also private school is not bad either because teacher have more attention on the students

Not public, it teaches such heresies such as "evolution " and a "round Earth " that "goes around the sun ". And some schools even teach that white people aren't superior to the duskier-colored races!

Okay I would not say public because I've heard a lot of bad story's. I have heard that private is good, but It really depends on who you are. Like I was home schooled my whole life, and there were pros and cons to it. But if you going to home school make sure you have the time, and patients.

Public, not only is it cheaper it also provides your child with street smarts. Without street smarts book smarts don't mean much. Private schools don't necessarily educate kids better. It just makes them brats. I know people who went to private schools and they aren't that smart, but they pretend they are. You shouldn't home school unless you are a qualified teacher for every subject up to the grade that you're going to stop home schooling them. Education shouldn't be influenced by religion, they can learn that elsewhere if they want to learn about it.

Are children given to the parents or to the government? One is responsible and the other has no soul. The one who is allowed to name the child is the one who is responsible for that child's education.

Well according to the Bible it would be the home schooled option as the Lord calls the fathers and mothers to teach their children in the ways of truth though priests and Levites were to teach the law to Israel the bringing up of children is clearly on the parents. As for public school NOPERS because they teach the lie of evolution as truth. If they presented both sides or even allowed the teaching of Creation then your child would have a decent chance of coming out believing in God still. why do you think so many children leave the church once they are old enough they have been so indoctrinated to the lie of evolution and worldly values such as teaching that sex is a must for teens and they should just use condoms which the school will hand out or they may even have to do muslim prayers though Jesus can not be taught the public schools can seem to force students to take part in muslim prayers and rituals.
