Christians: do you oppose the laws that make you have auto insurance and wear seatbelts?

Question: Christians: do you oppose the laws that make you have auto insurance and wear seatbelts?

After all, they are obviously purely secular and somewhat anti- religion since they are an insult to Jesus' co- piloting abilities. The law about seatbelts also seeks to prevent you from getting to Heaven as quickly as you might without them. Is it a plot of the liberal media to keep the problen secret by not covering your protests of these anti- religion laws, or are you actually letting the secular government get away with keeping you from showing how much you trust co- pilot Jesus?

Christians live in a secular world. The laws are there to protect Christians from crazy Atheists.

How are seat belts purely secular?

The Bible clearly teaches that we should obey the laws of our governments as long as they are not compelling us to turn from Christ. Opposing laws is so not where we are at. If you read your Bible you would know this and a whole lot more.

Those laws are not really to protect you, but the poor idiot you run into and the schmuck paying your doctor bills. Jesus understands.

Wearing seatbelts is just a way of saying "In god we Don't trust ". Not to mention that insurance is just a form of gambling against yourself. Its a liberal plot to increase the amount of government interference in our daily lives. *Yeah, thats it*

I don't own a car and am VERY rarely in an automobile anymore.

Laws such as auto insurance and seat belts fall within the authority of government and do not affect my ability to worship God.

ARe you kidding? Every reasoning person on the planet should realize that going over 30 miles per hour is extremely dangerous and increases the risk of death by a LOT!!! It's like you're trying to commit suicide every time you go in a vehicle of any sort. (This includes horse-drawn carriages imo!!!) STAY AWAY FROM SPEED!!!!

Posted by: oldandtired on 2010-06-20, 09:16:16

The laws you mention were passed to protect the insurance companies.

I don't think the governmant should have any say in how we spend our money. I don't see what the rest of what you wrote have to do with anything.

I am not against seat belts or auto insurance. Research on seat belts indicates that on the average they do save lives . There not there just because the ambulance attendants are too lazy to look for the bodies. Insurance is necessary in spite of the hassle associated with collecting on a claim. This is likely a liberal plot in some ways but not for the reasons you claim Lol. |It is a scam. When Satan dared Christ to throw Himself down from the Temple He said "Though shall not tempt the Lord your God. " Im not going to tempt Him either. I have tempted Him enough already.

I don't see what your religious preference is or are you hiding something? Insulting huh? Where is your ability to prevent people from making their own choice whether or not to pull out a 9mm semi automatic and aim it at the out line of a human on a shooting range and empty the chamber hitting the mark every time? Do you oppose the laws that make you take a field sobriety test every time you get in your car after hanging out at the local bar? After all, these tests are obviously purely secular and somewhat anti-freedom to drink and drive at will with no regard to life or pursuit of happiness. Is it a plot of the liberal media to keep the right of bearing arms, down a 12 pack of brew and get in your car or truck and go out drag racing to the amusement of our kids who are not even old enough to drive? Is it the liberal media that keeps the problems secret by covering up your protests of these anti-protection laws? Are you actually putting out a question that makes the secular government get their way with painting lines on the roads to indicate whether or not to pass, stay in your own lane, post speed limits, warn of up coming curves or just cast fate to the wind and come what may? How much do you trust Jesus to protect you from any and all dangers?
